Registration

Despite what you may hear, you are responsible for registration and insurance. If a dealer offers to arrange registration and insurance for you, follow-up that it is done. Remember to contact your local Transport SA, Customer Service Centre when you buy, sell or trade-in a vehicle. Transfer of vehicle ownership costs are based on the value of your vehicle and may be expensive. It's a good idea to check registration and transfer costs before you buy.
