A development approval may be made up of one or more of six consents. The required number of consents depends on the nature and kind of development proposal. When all necessary consents have been issued, the relevant authority can issue a development approval to the applicant.
As the building owner, you must not allow domestic building work to commence prior to this approval being given.
A building schedule documents the specific selections for your home, item by item. A provisional sum schedule states monetary allowances for the fittings or fixtures you have selected for your home.
Once you have chosen a home design with detailed building specifications you must complete a Domestic Building Work Contract with the builder of your choice.
